Analysis
Article 75 of the Costa Rica Constitution establishes that the Roman Catholic Apostolic Religion is the state religion. This does no restrict the free exercise of other religions that do not oppose what is considered as universal morality or good customs. In that, Costa Rica's Political Constitution explicitly guarantees freedom of worship within the country.
Despite Catholicism being the official religion of the State and being taught in educational institutions as part of the curriculum, individuals have the option to request that the educational center excludes them from this subject, exercising their right to freedom of worship.
