Selected provisions
Foreign citizens and stateless persons, in accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Tajikistan, cannot be elected or appointed to legislative, executive, or judicial bodies, nor can they participate in elections or referendums.
1) The employment activity of foreign citizens and stateless persons is regulated in accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Tajikistan.
2) Foreign citizens and stateless persons who have entered the Republic of Tajikistan for temporary residence may engage in specific employment activities, provided that such activities are consistent with the purpose of their stay in the Republic of Tajikistan.
3) Foreign citizens and stateless persons have the same rights and obligations in labor relations as the citizens of the Republic of Tajikistan.
4) The employment activity of foreign citizens in the Republic of Tajikistan can be carried out based on permits issued by the authorized state bodies.
5) The rules for issuing work permits to foreign citizens engaged in employment in the Republic of Tajikistan, as well as the form of the permit document, are approved by the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan.
1) Foreign citizens and stateless persons in the Republic of Tajikistan enjoy the established rights and freedoms, and bear obligations and responsibility on an equal basis with the citizens of the Republic of Tajikistan, except in cases provided for by the legislation of the Republic of Tajikistan.
2) Foreign citizens and stateless persons in the Republic of Tajikistan are equal before the law, regardless of nationality, race, gender, language, religious beliefs, political position, social status, education, and property.
3) In relation to the citizens of states where the rights and freedoms of the citizens of the Republic of Tajikistan are violated, the Republic of Tajikistan establishes appropriate restrictions.
4) The use of rights and freedoms by foreign citizens and stateless persons in the Republic of Tajikistan should not harm the interests of the state, the rights, and legitimate interests of citizens of the Republic of Tajikistan and other persons.
