Analysis

Intellectual property rights are protected. The regulation and protection of intellectual property rights are fully reflected in Chapter No.68 of the Civil Code of the Republic of Tajikistan. Additionally, the right to intellectual property for foreign citizens, and therefore for refugees, is explicitly stated in Article No.12 of the Law on the Legal Status of Foreign Citizens and Stateless Persons. This article specifies that foreign citizens can hold copyright on scientific works, literary and artistic works, discoveries, inventions, industrial designs, as well as other non-property rights.
