The State of Palestine is not a party to the 1951 Convention relating to the Status of Refugees or its 1967 Protocol, and no domestic legal framework is in place addressing the protection of refugees and asylum-seekers. The entry and stay of individuals seeking international protection are governed by general immigration and residency regulations rather than by a dedicated asylum law.
