Analysis

Every worker has the right to receive a minimum wage in Costa Rica. This wage will be periodically determined, taking into account the specifics of each job, the particular conditions of each region, and the nature of the activities. The legally set minimum wages will apply to all workers, including refugees and asylum seekers.  The establishment of the minimum wage automatically amends employment contracts that stipulate a lower wage.
