Analysis

The Constitution establishes that every person is equal before the law and no discrimination contrary to human dignity may be practiced.

The Refugee Regulations further affirms at article 6 the principle of equality and non-discrimination : Regardless of the immigration process that is initiated, the immigration authorities must respect and guarantee the human rights of asylum seekers, refugees and stateless persons, without any discrimination based on ethnicity, origin, nationality, gender, age, language, religion, sexual orientation, political opinions, economic level or any other social or immigration status.
