Description

The Constitution of Tunisia lays down the framework for the country's governance, rights, and duties. It is based on democratic principles, the separation of powers, and the protection of human rights. In Article 26, the Constitution states that right to political asylum shall be guaranteed as prescribed by law, and that t is prohibited to surrender persons who have been granted political asylum.
