Description

The National Health Insurance Fund Act No. 8 of 1999 (Tanzania) established the National Health Insurance Fund (NHIF) as a mandatory social health insurance scheme for public employees, covering contributions, benefits, and related matters. 

Selected provisions
Section 12.1 - Entitlement to benefit

A member whose contributions have been paid for three months after the coming into operation of the Fund shall be entitled to the benefit package under the Fund.
