Description
The Tanzanian Persons with Disabilities Act of 2010 (Act No. 9 of 2010) aims to protect the rights of persons with disabilities, ensuring access to healthcare, social support, education, employment, accessibility, and rehabilitation. It establishes a National Advisory Council and the office of the Commissioner for persons with disabilities, and includes mechanisms for accountability, such as a workplace quota system and a National Fund for Persons with Disabilities.
