Chapter 2 - Objectives and tasks of the Center

9. The objective of the Center is to protect reproductive health, provide high-quality medical and preventive care to the population and carry out research activities in the field of obstetrics, gynecology, perinatology, medical genetics and assisted reproductive technologies in accordance with this Regulation and the development of innovative products capable of making a significant contribution to the socio-economic development of the country.
11. The Center, in accordance with the assigned tasks, performs the following functions:
1) provides highly specialized, highly qualified and high-tech medical care to the population;
2) participates in the work of expert commissions for the evaluation of programs and research results in the field of reproductive medicine;
3) conducts training of highly qualified scientific and practical personnel in the profile of the Center;
4) creates regional genetic databanks in areas of research and practical activities;
5) fulfills orders on a contractual basis in accordance with state programs for the protection of public health;
6) coordinates fundamental and applied scientific research on human reproductive function;
7) organizes and holds thematic, scientific and practical conferences and seminars on topical issues of reproductive medicine;
8) conducts clinical trials (on a contractual basis) of drugs, with the provision of an official conclusion on the possibility of introducing them into practical healthcare in the manner prescribed by law.
