Article 44 - Travel for Minors Under 18

Children under 18 cannot travel alone without a legal guardian’s consent

Article 38 - Responsibilities of Immigration Officers Regarding Deportations

1. Officers must:
o Arrest and report undesirable foreigners to police and courts.
o Prevent their entry into Somalia.
o Ensure their deportation to their home country or last departure point.
2. Undesirable foreigners must leave Somalia within 7 days unless a court grants an
extension

Article 37 - Undesirable Foreigners

A foreigner may be denied entry or deported if:
1. They violate Somali laws or pose a security risk.
2. They engage in drug trafficking, human trafficking, or illegal trade.
3. They carry weapons or explosives illegally.
4. They suffer from dangerous infectious diseases.
5. They enter Somalia illegally.
6. Their asylum application has been denied.
7. They threaten public order or national security.

Article 21: Work Visa

1. Granted to foreigners employed in Somalia under the Foreign Employment Law (2015).
2. Work visas cannot be issued for jobs that Somali nationals can perform

Article 48 - Travel Exit Conditions

1. Somali citizens can leave Somalia freely, unless restricted by a court order.
2. A valid passport & visa is required for international travel.
3. Expired passports cannot be used for travel.
