Selected provisions
A valid document is an identity document, all parts and details of which correspond to the samples established by the competent authorities of the issuing state, is properly executed and certified by the authorized bodies, is not expired, belongs to the bearer and has no counterfeits.
An identity document is a document confirming the status of a person crossing the state border of the Kyrgyz Republic, which was sent through diplomatic channels and is recognized by the Kyrgyz Republic as such, unless otherwise provided by international treaties that have entered into force in the manner prescribed by law and to which the Kyrgyz Republic is a party.
Foreign citizens or stateless persons enter and exit the Kyrgyz Republic through checkpoints on the state border that are open for international traffic with valid documents and visas, unless otherwise provided by regulatory legal acts of the Kyrgyz Republic and international treaties that have entered into force in accordance with the procedure established by law and to which the Kyrgyz Republic is a party.
Foreign citizens and stateless persons may move freely within the territory of the Kyrgyz Republic open to their visit. In areas closed to visits by foreign citizens and stateless persons, entry and movement are carried out only with the permission of the authorized state body in the sphere of population registration.
