Description

The Ordinance applies to all over Bangladesh except for the Hill Tracts areas of Khagrachari, Bandarban and Rangamati. The Ordinance no where limits its applicability to Bangladeshi nationals only. However in section 5 there is a 'subject to' clause which mentions about the 'Muslim Family law Ordinances 1961' which applies to Muslim citizens of Bangladesh in the matters of family disputes.
