Description
The Civil Code is one of the primary legal codes in Italy, covering a wide range of private law, including contracts, property, family law, and inheritance. It is divided into six books:
- Persons and Family: Addresses legal personality, family law, marriage, and parental relationships.
- Succession: Governs inheritance law, including wills and succession rights.
- Property: Regulates ownership, possession, and property rights.
- Obligations: Covers contractual and non-contractual obligations.
- Labor: Initially part of the Civil Code, labor law is now largely governed by separate legislation.
- Protection of Rights: Deals with the protection of civil rights and the procedural aspects of civil law.
