The Foreigners Act (Ausländergesetz; AuG) of 17 September 2008, as amended through 31 January 2024, establishes the legal framework for managing third-country nationals in Liechtenstein. Under Article 1 (“Gegenstand”), its object is to regulate the entry and exit of foreigners, their conditions and duration of stay, and procedures for family reunification, while embedding integration requirements based on the principle of “demand and support.”
