Do domestic laws and policies provide access to travel documents and entry/exit visas for family members of forcibly displaced and stateless persons for the purpose of family reunification?

Analysis
The Federal Government of Somalia and the Somaliland administration do not currently provide formal legal or policy frameworks for family reunification, particularly for forcibly displaced persons (FDPs) such as refugees and asylum-seekers. At present, there are no established procedures, visa categories, or administrative pathways specifically designed to enable family members of recognized refugees or asylum-seekers to reunite within Somalia or Somaliland.
In Somalia, while immigration procedures exist for general entry and residence, there are no dedicated family reunification visas or legal provisions that apply to FDPs. Similarly, Somaliland does not offer any formal mechanisms for family reunification; available visa categories, such as visit visas, are not structured to support or facilitate the reunification of displaced families.
As a result, family reunification for refugees and asylum-seekers does not take place through any official or codified process in either Somalia or Somaliland. The absence of legal provisions or administrative pathways means that displaced individuals seeking to reunite with family members face a complete lack of institutional support for doing so within these jurisdictions.
