Tajikistan has made progress in enhancing financial inclusion through initiatives like the National Financial Inclusion Strategy for 2022-2026. This strategy focuses on expanding digital financial services, offering diverse financial products to reach underserved populations, including refugees.  Most local financial institutions and banks have already included the possibility of serving refugees as clients in their internal policies, with the basis being their refugee certificate issued by the authorized government body. Organizations like the Aga Khan Agency for Microfinance also provide services that support refugees.

However, refugees still face challenges such as lack of identification and limited credit history, which can hinder their access to financial services. While improvements have been made, continued efforts are needed to fully integrate refugees into the financial system.
