Country context

Myanmar is a country marked by significant displacement, with an estimated close to 6 million people expected to be forcibly displaced or stateless. The humanitarian situation is further complicated by the volatile climate, including cyclones and monsoons, which repeatedly displace communities and destroy fragile infrastructure.
