Bangladesh does not have any economic development plans that includes refugees and asylum seekers. The policy of the Government of Bangladesh is that Rohingya refugees have been allowed in Bangladesh only temporarily and on humanitarian grounds while they wait to return to Myanmar. As such, needs of Rohingya refugees are to be met only through humanitarian response programme, and cannot be included in the national developments plans or mechanisms, as per the Government policy.
