Analysis

There are no laws in place that provide refugees and asylum-seekers who have experienced violations of the right to social assurance and social assistance with effective administrative or judicial remedies.

In absence of the law, Rohingya refugees who face difficulties accessing camp-based services, such as documentation, healthcare service support, sexual and reproductive health, mental health and psychosocial support, nutrition and food, shelter, and non-food items, can inform UNHCR and partners for intervention. At times, their needs may be addressed through government officials, especially the Camp-in-Charge (CiC) or with the Office of the Refugee Relief and Repatriation Commissioner.
